Grafting
For grafting you need this.
1. Rootstock of Acer palmatum.
2. Sion from a true cultivar of a japanese maple.
3. Wet stone.
4. Grafting band.
5. Grafting knife.
6. Protection for your tumb.
7. scissor.
Pot the rootstock into a 9 cm pot.Ofcourse we use the bokashi pottingsoil.
Cut the rootstook 10 or 15 cm above the pot.
Make an inscision for about 3 cm.
Cut the sion for 3 cm.
Turn the sion and also on the other side you do the same.
Place the sion into the inscision of the rootstock .
Turn the rubber grafting band, from the top of the inscision to the bottem of the graft.
Bind the rubber grafting band.
The grafted maple’s under polytheen.
Grafts after 2 weeks.
Grafts under polytheen.
Results after 4 weeks.
Results after 10 weeks.
